As a hospitality professional down here on business, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The service rated 5 and food a 4. Seated at a great table by the water, told we would have a top server, and introduced to Leanne. Please thank her for a great service!! She was able to accommodate a couple of special requests and handled the drawbacks professionally. The drawbacks were that they are getting away with the name Lobster Bisque, the plastic wrap found in the soup, and asked to wait for Key Lime pie which did not arrive.
The positives are that the food is great (try the Chilean Sea Bass or the shrimp and grits), the beer choices are good and the outside patio is right in the lake/river. The service was also good but we ate at the bar, so we were right in front of our server the whole time! The odd/weird thing was that they don’t take reservations and when we got there 6-7 tables were wide open but they wouldn’t seat us as they were “reserved”. I wish I could explain how that works but after a few tries we just gave up trying to understand and say at the bar and ate!? VictorB
Good food, courteous service, clean facilities, beautiful view of the lake while you eat. Beautiful breeze and it is so great in the shade for a hot afternoon or evening. It's a little crowded, but it's typical of city restaurants. We didn't have to wait too long for a table. The food was great and the drinks were also good. Tofu Tacos were a good vegetarian option for my wife. I got the chicken Caesar salad and it was very good. The Calamari is also very good.
My dad, I wanted lobster rolls, so we decided to get in for Father's Day weekend. The weather was perfect, so it was ideal to be on the terrace with this view of the river. The lobster roll was so good, had a lot of lobster as you can see. The chips were all right, but they lacked the role and price. The dining room was added to the corresponding beer selection. We had Bryon as our server, he was wonderful and had a contagious smile. All in all, I was happy to pay for the food, service views on the occasion.
