El Mariachi - Calumet City

For a steak burrito to be $19 is ridiculous. I was really hungry and thought it would be very good for that jacked up price. When I got home and took my first bite it was very salty and overcooked. For a first time customer, it'll be my last time going there.

Usually you'll get free chips and salsa, not here. Your first portion is TINY and your second portion you'll need to pay. We ordered guacamole and queso, did not come with chips. I was confused, because we were only served like 5 chios to begin with. Then I ordered chicken fajitas. Usually it's a big portion. Nooo. I got the food and was like, where's the rest. When I went to pay... I was shocked to find out that my food was over 26.99 for my tiny little kid like portion. Was it bad bc I was in IL and I'm use to IN portions and prices? Anyway, it was a Saturday night, one waitress. I was curious, but bc it's so high, no one comes in. Wish I new that before hand.

I understand that prices are high every where but I went to El Marachi and ordered 6 steak taco's no extra anything and the bill came out to $30.64 . Since basically they are charging $5 per taco which wouldn't be an issue if it had alot of meat .but it wasn't alot of meat at all.i feel like they going over the top with those prices ...I won't be going back

Went in for breakfast. Asked for juice and some scrambled eggs.. After 25 minutes and not even service, I cancelled the order after waiting for 26 minutes.. they still charged me 6.45 for a soda and fountain drink!!! Really!????

El Mariachi is a wonderful spot to savor authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for spending an enjoyable evening. Monchy was our server, and she was exceptionally polite and attentive. The food was served promptly and came out warm, which was great. I also appreciated the beautiful presentation of the dishes. Monchy crafted some fantastic margaritas that I couldn't resist having two of! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and plan to visit frequently. Just take a look at the pictures—they speak for themselves!
