Restaurant bewertenNothing special here, just a imitation of what a true Mexican restaurant can be! Might as well go to taco cabana
Went here for my friends birthday Saturday evening. Everything was great until the end. There was 6 of us, and before we started to order, we told the waitress we wanted 2 receipts. One with all the food and one with all the drinks. I was going to take care of the drinks and my friend was going to take care of the food. She said that it was fine, she can do that. When we got the bill it was 4 different receipts, and the tip was added all of them. I asked why did she give us 4 different checks, she didn't say anything. My friends and husband just paid it so we can leave. I don't understand why she would do that, my guess was to get more tips from every check. I would have left 5 stars, but the waitress ruined the experience. I hope they retrain their waitress. I thought since it's a big table, they didn't want split checks. I don't even want to go back.
As far as food and service, this is the worst restaurant I have been to in San Antonio. We arrived after 730P, less than half the tables were in use. It was at least 10 minutes before our server came to our table I also noted other tables nearby w different servers were waiting at least 10 15 minutes as well). The house margarita was watery with very little taste or tequila. I ordered a chicken fajita salad got lettuce complete with the hard core pieces that should be thrown away, some diced tomatoes, a tiny round small cookie scoop of guacamole and four plain grilled chicken strips. I had asked for no cheese as I have a dairy allergy. The shell bowl was greasy tasting. My husband ordered a shedded beef chimichanga. He was told they gave him the wrong one seconds later, they switched out another. He got shedded chicken but a burrito, not the fried chimi. We will NEVER stop here again. Do not waste your time or either.
First time here. Nicely.greeted. Our server was quite attentive. Was always nearby for anything we needed. The atmosphere was nice too. The food was decent. My steak was a little tough. I didn't like the cheese enchilada. Not sure if it's Velveeta cheese or what kind. But not delicious. The rice was good. The beans were cold. Probably won't be going back.
Bacon-wrapped jalapenos with cheese along with a margarita. Appetizer was bland but the drink was good though. Service was okay... The original on Broadway was the best at everything.
