Restaurant bewertenLivraria da Baixa in Porto is a chill place to go with some interesting things to note. The vibe at Livraria da Baixa is relaxed and easygoing, which makes it a good spot to unwind and enjoy your drinks. The cocktails are quite nice, and they have a noticeable amount of alcohol, which makes them stand out. We wanted to sit outside, but it rained, so we had to find dry spots. That was a bit of a bummer because we couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating fully. The restroom is upstairs, which is pretty common, but the stairs can be slippery when wet. So, be careful, especially if your shoes are wet. One thing to remember is that Livraria da Baixa only accepts cash. So, it's a good idea to have some cash with you because they don't take card payments.
Not tourist friendly. Looked nice but €8 for 2 small glasses of house wine and the bar man took 10% tip without mentioning it. There are much nicer bars in the immediate area better value for money €2 per glass of wine) with better service and no service charge. Will not go back.
I went with some friends for drinks, the attention was terrible. The waiter didn’t come to our table, even though we called him several times, he saw us and ignored us. We had to stand up and ask for most of the drinks at the counter. When we were going to pay was the same thing, and when we stand up to pay they told us that they’d only accept cash... (they should’ve told us earlier or have a sign at least)
