Osteria Armetta - PALERMO

This is the biggest compliment I can give! we stopped in palermo last day for Sunday dinner (20/10/19) and I am so glad we did. we had the taste menu that was both interesting and delicious. the spaghetti with sardines was a special...highlight for me. Why did my wife hate it? She is not a great lover of seafood. that meant that I had to eat most of her too....Go to me!

If they are in palermo and wish a deep and tasty dive on the Sicilian traditional cuisine, they must come to this cozy place and go for the tasting menu. unforgettable, especially the caponata and the sardines. not too expensive, very central, just...steps away from teatro massimo. the waiters could be a little nicer for the guests.

Fun waiter, tasty eating, reasonable prices on the food and wine list, would recommend.

We stumbled over this restaurant and were thrilled by the delicious food and fantastic service. beautiful, Sicilian cuisine with lovely cooked. highly recommended.

We chose this place based on the menu displayed outside. Once seated and after they took the drinks order, we were told that they only served a fixed tasting menu, which we did not want. Eventually the owner agreed to one fish course and a...pasta. The fish eventually arrived, but was cold and under-cooked. It was replaced, but no one bothered to apologize especially not the owner, who was, conveniently, not in the restaurant. Of course they did not offer to refund the fish. Maybe thee people are not aware of the consequences of eating under-cooked fish? They certainly did not ee to care. This was a bad experience which I would not wish on anyone, so best stay away. There are many other choices in the area.
