"Beautiful alm hütte to rest after or during skiing. food can be veganized, not clearly marked on the menu. you have to talk to the personal. pizza without cheese was beautiful and very delicious! the intention is one of a kind!"

"Barenbadalm is a really good choice if you are skiing over in the Jochberg area, it's a regular haunt for us for lunch or our hot choc stop, & handily located right next to a run (63). It's a big spot but still really cosy & ambient with the large space divided into various snug little sub-sections & decor the right mix of contemporary & rustic. My favourite pitch is an intimate raised area with a handful of sofas. On warm days many opt for the vast outdoor terrace, dining on large bench tables or soaking up rays on the brightly coloured beanbags. It's always a relief when the masses are accommodated outside as this means less of a fight to gain a table inside - it's a very popular venue especially over lunchtime. Staff are terrific - endlessly cheerful, quick, & efficient, & it's all table service. Food is good quality with the emphasis on meat (beef from their own Angus herd). Loos are another plus - well maintained & on the same level as the restaurant. Recommended."

"A well established inn on the edge of Jochberg Alte Wacht is charming. We sat in a beautiful, cozy, intimate space we had ourselves. Service was very personal authentic food fabulous. The menu offers Tyrolean classics each of...we had an excellent meal. Steaks schnitzels were excellent, their special, the trout was absolutely delicious.... and talk about fresh......... we saw that the owner went with a net to catch the trout from the outside pond!"
