Restaurant bewertenThe staff and the location make this place what he is. If you are in modern or even traditional resorts/hotels that are up to date, this is not the place for you. This place is only older and needs a renovation in my perspective. The food was fine. There were things they really did well, and things that fell short. The staff was amazing! In any case the care and attention so many places are missing in the service industry. It was a breath of fresh air.
Great service from every employee we met - it was a culture of joy and hospitality. We enjoyed the restaurant breakfast, the coffee shop two days in a row, drink vouchers for selected guests, beach access, pool and hot tub, fireplace and nearby restaurants. We had King Suite and it had a small kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, dishes, free water and K cups. There were two sinks in the bathroom, balcony, beautiful bar table with chairs and chaise sofa. You can rent bicycles directly by the pool, which has plenty of towels and chairs.
I can't say enough about this property. They treat you as if you were the only ones. The whole staff knew us by the end of our week. The spa was amazing, the food was top notch, there is a small shop serving ice cream that is walkable. Hands down one of our best memories!
In the lobby was pulled away directly, not parking on the left side pavlion room was not ready until 4.15 pm no text tp let me know? paid for King Suite with sea view. I wouldn't expect the price to be paid for two nights. wi-fi didn't work or coffee k cup was broken. Shower had no hot water, but sink? Room service was fine, but foodquallty was best on average. Consturction work began at 8 o'clock outside my window. was not told or new, why they had to break the walkway had to knock the room door to close it. . I went and went to another hotel and will not return
I 'm biased because we are big fans of the Omni chain. In the past year we have stayed at Amelia Island, Berkshire Place in NYC and this was our second visit to the HHI one. Are the rooms a little run down? Maybe, but honestly, we 're there to relax, not nitpick. What the rooms are, are huge. That space is not easily found unless renting a condo in HHI. The kitchenette alone is worth the price. Our only disappointment was that I made two requests to be on the highest floor possible and not near an elevator. We were able to check in super early (yay! and they apologized saying the highest floor I could get was the 3rd which was literally no big deal at all. But we get off the elevator and bam the room was right there. Closest to the elevator. So my husband did say something and they immediately moved us 4 doors down but the joke was on us because the ac was terrible (and to people from up North, it was hot in HHI! . They were patient with us asking for help and did offer to move us again (we could not say yes to that we couldn 't be that annoying . The second day they sent a second Engineer, Reese (sp? . He is a gem, Omni. Kind, funny and best of all, got the ac working perfectly! Huge shoutout to him! What always brings us back to the Omni is the customer service no matter where we go, it 's the same. Always going above and beyond from check in to the loyalty ambassadors, to the bartenders to literally any employee you come in contact with always kind, always helpful. Although that does bring up another weird disappointment we were early, and it is definitely off season, but there was no bell services when we arrived. Not sure if it was lunch (as we saw them later in the week or again, just a lighter staff in March, but they are always the first people you see at an Omni and always start your trip off on a high note so it was weird to have no one around and have to take care of everything yourself. Not a big deal at all. We were originally supposed to go to Nashville for 3 nights and literally 3 days prior to leaving, realized we wanted to relax at HHI. We made the right choice. Palmetto Market is a delight (though could you open an online store? So many things I meant to bring home and I forgot! ; Mike at the pool bar (we were leaving that day but had to be there for opening day! I could go on and on. Thank you for another wonderful visit!
