"We visited Fiskebar on a rainy Tuesday evening, hoping for a bit of romance and delicious food and it did not disappoint! The staff was welcoming and highly informative about the chef’s project of excellent Nordic flavors, local ingredients, and zero waste. Out table looked out towards the lake, and we enjoyed a five course tasting menu beginning with fine caviar served with a cream based in lentils. A thin fish smorgasbord of salmon, clam, white fish, shrimp on a bed of book Chou followed, my favorite turning out to be sardines pickled in Yuzu and coriander seeds. An artichoke and various other vegetables followed including small bites of alimentation pauvre which were delicate and earthy at the same time. We then were served a cucumber sorbet and 6 delightful and well designed tiny dessert bites, my favorite being a lime mousse button atop a hazelnut crème— perfect with the house aquavit. All in all a beautiful and highly tasty performance. We will definitely visit again. And the waiter was kind enough to write the menu down for me so that I can remember the sequence and creativity of this restaurant and it’s chef,"
