"Staying at the Steigenberger Hotel in Davos I had been favourably impressed by the room and ambience of the hotel. The staff were usually friendly and helpful BUT a visit to this Bistro restaurant within the hotel was most disappointing. Firstly the service was matter of fact with no enthusiasm. The food sounded great on the menu but on arrival was not up to much. For example the fish and chips consisted of three end tails containing lots of batter but little fish and the chips were small and soggy. My husband had Pork Schnizel which was supposed to be in breadcrumbs but was again covered in fatty batter. Neither of these came with vegetables. Needless to say the following two nights we ate at a restaurant nearby."

"Das Restaurant wahr sehr voll und es hatte keinen Tisch frei.Die Chefin hatte uns aber an der BAR eins Offeriert bis der nächste Tisch frei wurde.2 x Prosecco und eine Coca Cola für meinen Sohn.Ich finde für 20 Minuten Wartezeit absolut TOP.Essen Wahr SUPER. Personal sehr Freundlich."

"Hat nur kurz Zeit um über Mittag etwas zu essen. Der Cesars-Salat war ausgezeichnet und kam trotz gebratener Pouletstreifen innert kurzer Zeit auf den Tisch, Der Service war ebenfalls einwandfrei und freundlich!"

"We had a nice room with a view of the Jacobshorn slopes. The room would have benefitted from a kettle and some drinks as there is not a open and active bar in the hotel. We made this point as we were leaving only to be told that they could have supplied a kettle, it was just a shame that they did not make this clear in the hotel information.A great wellness centre with bubble bath, steam room and sauna was great for easing aching bodies at the end of a days skiing, it was usually empty. Staff were very pleasant and helpful to us in getting round the resort, and the ski locker was handy for keeping boots warm and dry and was handy for the road and the way to the buses."
