Restaurant bewertenAccommodated 16 lads for starters mains and drinks. The food came out together hot and was delicious. Everyone was very full afterwards. The price was amazing for the amount of food. On the whole this place is great and I'd recommend it. 5 stars
I've eaten an excellent chicken byriaki, with a chilled Cobra beer. Everything gorgeous. Best Indian food I've ever tried.
We had a lovely meal here, were so grateful to find this peaceful retreat so close to the hustle bustle of Oxford Street nearby Soho. It's a very cosy restaurant where we were given a very warm welcome, immediately felt at home. There's an excellent menu to suit every taste, the food was well prepared, tasty prompt. There's a very homely ambience too, with authentic Indian music in the background we had a nice table by the window where we could watch the world go by outside. All in all, a very good experience, a restaurant that outstrips many others nearby which seem to be run by faceless chains.Highly recommended, very reasonably priced too.
I originally went out for lunch, which ran on a bit, so needed a bit of grub later in the evening. One of the group had been to this place many times before so led from the front (Pied Piper of food style and took us to the Raj. The staff here are very friendly and can't do enough to make sure you enjoy yourself. Drinks arrived right away along with a pile of poppadoms and the requisite relishes. I was recommended the tandoori king prawns (not on the menu but don't let that stop you! and they were fabulous. Piles of flavour helped along with a Cobra! I tucked in on a little shashlik chicken, Bombay potato, some rice and loved it all. I dipped my peshwari naan into some korma sauce and the experience was complete. It doesn't look much from outside and the decor is a bit tired but it makes up for this with a lovely atmosphere and fabulous food. At about £25 per head it is decent value, and sure there is better in this part of town, but if you need an impromptu curry this place won't disappoint.
We were seven but they arranged a table for us and we could directly seat. The place was small, cosy and calm and the service was very fast. The food was delicious and not too spicy. We ordered chicken curry, butter chicken, lamb massala, rice and naan and everything was delicious. And because we were a majority of students they offered us 10% on the bill. The only thing maybe is the bathroom which was a bit too dirty. So I (we) totally recommend it even with a small budget.
