Imperio Steakhouse Grill - Birmingham

I went with my wife and one of the staff used slurs directed towards her. Food was absolutely terrible as well. Having my wife called a porch monkey and getting crusty a steak kind of put a damper on my mood. I expect the employee to be appropriately reprimanded or I will be considering legal action.

I honestly thought this place was gonna be terrible but they proved me wrong. The best damn steak I ever had. Hardly any fat on it at all. 99% legit steak. I found my new food home! Great job. Great atmosphere. Great customer service. I recommend Makers Mark to start off the evening before dining!

I ordered the fajita, 3 shrimp, 6 strips of chicken, 9 strips of dry steak was not worth 30 dollars. The rice was so soft clearly it had been warmed too many times. The cheese dip was too thick and the tasteless. We also ordered a shrimp boil that was so spicy we couldn’t eat it. The potatoes were under cooked. Let’s not forget the top shelf margaritas with not an ounce of alcohol, they were so sweet and warm. Terrible experience.

My husband and I have entertained this restaurant twice in the past. For this 3rd venture we brought along a friend to try the place out. It was a Friday night and not busy at all. So there was no reason for the service to be as bad as it was. We were seated immediately but after that it went downhill. It took a good 10 minutes before we even saw our waitress. We only had the chips and salsa because the hostess brought that to us. It was the only reason I was not hangry because we didn't see our food until an hour later but that wasn't correct either). We ordered some sweet tea, which ended up been sugar less and that took way to long to arrive at the table. We also ordered some Queso to go along with our salsa and chips. They forgot to bring it and when they did it was watery. Luckily I had it removed from our bill because it was not up to standards and shouldn't have been served in the first place. We pretty much knew what we wanted to eat as we ordered our drinks at the same time. That would be the last time we would ever see out waitress. The food never arrived we had been there for about an hour. We decided to leave and my husband went to find someone so that we could at least pay for our beverages. They then proceeded to tell us that our food was ready and we could take it to go. We decided to take the food with us because we were that hungry. The food was not ready still it took to long just to transfer the food to some to go container. I believe they were stalling for time. And there is still more stuff that I have not mentioned. I understand there may be some worker shortages happening across the world but there were enough people present last night to handle such a small amount of customer at the time we were present. As we were leaving I noticed people that had came in after us had gotten there food and were eating. I don't understand what happened but it has left a bad impression for this business. Something needs to be done to fix the service or this place will not survive this spot as other business have not in the past. Well at least the bathrooms were nice. :

Former employee! Consider your health before eating here no employee has been paid in months most of them are owed over $1,000 and still show up to work for free. The food is old not kept in correct containers they aren't LABELED OR DATED!! The steaks and other meats alone are slimy in the containers and discolored because they are so old but still get cooked and sent out cheese dip always has chunky yellow film on top it's so old.The cooks don't wear gloves everything is cross contaminated chicken shrimp and beef are all cooked on same grill and not cleaned in down time grease drips from fan vents on grill and other spots in kitchen,, open HOT 240volt wires exposed in kitchen (been shocked twice) ac unit leaks where food window is and it always drips on the FOOD and they still send it out!!! The ice machine has black bacteria in it!!! Nothing is cleaned if you value your personal health do us all a favor and call and report this place to the City inspector,Health Department, and the Fire marshal someone is seriously going to get sick or die from eating here
