Restaurant bewertenWhen we enter in this restauran is like back in time worthy of a Solar majestic space homemade and traditional food nice, cozy, recommend
Eat here whilst staying in Barcelos whilst walking the Camino. Had a set Pilgrim menu which was good quality and served quickly. The restaurant is a converted old house without many structural alterations and is very interesting. I would of enjoyed the meal and venue more if I personally was less tired. Would visit again if I had more time
This is a very old House, turned smartly into a restaurant, with almost no change over.Restaurant rooms are cut by corridors and kitchen looks like a normal room.Is in fact a very classic, portuguese style, restaurante with a great historic vibe to it.As for the food, is very good. At lunch i had some problems with the owner that wouldn´t get me out of previously arranged budget menu (i was working for a third party), which was very weak. After a fight, i manage to get me a good steak, but meal was ruined by boss atitude. At dinner, things change a bit, the boss never made contact with us again and things got better. I do recommend Octupus à Solar and the Posta. Main ingredients are very good, garnish is a bit weak. The desert selection was ok.
My wife and I had an excellent supper here; she had fish and I had Vitela (calf). The desserts are very good too. Good atmosphere and service in this traditional restaurant; there are several different dining rooms.
This is the typical northern Portuguese restaurant. It's absolutely "minhoto". It just means that the food is great, the staff is always friendly, and the price is alright. This is the place to come when you really want to eat. And eat portuguese style. :) try the desserts... And the soup is so natural you'll love it. The traditional dishes are to die for. Also the restaurant itself is beautiful. Take a look at the walls and the ceilings!!
